WHAT IS A MOTHER AGENCY?
A mother agency is often the first agency a model signs with and is vital to their success in the industry. Just as the name implies, a mother agency is like a family for models. We work to protect our models and guide them down the best path for a long-term and profitable career in the modeling industry. At The Brick, we begin by scouting you, the potential model. Then we will train you to be the best model you can be with individual coaching and portfolio photoshoots. Then, when you are ready, we contact our friends from the best booking agencies in the world, with the hopes of placing you in a secondary contract. Just some of the notable booking agencies we work with include IMG Models, Elite Models, and Women Management. As a mother agency, we will always be here for you--even once you’re working the couture shows in Paris!
ARE THERE ANY FEES TO SIGN WITH YOUR AGENCY?
At The Brick, there are never any fees to sign--nor once you are signed.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
We are based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. But don’t fret, we remotely scout, develop and place models from all over the world, to all over the world.
HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO APPLY?
We sign future models from the ages of 13 to 24.
DO YOU HAVE HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS?
Like most agencies, we do have height requirements. We ask that our models be between the heights of 5’7’’ and 6’.
DO YOU REPRESENT MEN?
At this time we only represent those who identify as female or non-binary.
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE?
No problem! You don’t need any previous experience or professional photos to apply. Let us handle those things once you are signed!
DO YOU HAVE OPEN CALLS?
We do not currently hold open calls. So if you are looking to get scouted, the submissions form is the best way to do it.
HOW IS A MOTHER AGENT PAID?
When our models begin to work internationally with the booking agencies we have placed them to, their booking agency takes an industry-standard 20% commission from the model's earnings as a service fee. The booking agency then pays The Brick half of that fee, or 10%. We only make money if our models make money, any mother agency that charges upfront fees for any reason is a SCAM.
DO YOU GUARANTEE WORLDWIDE PLACEMENT?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee placement for any of our models. Sometimes, the belief we have in a girl is not always seen by others. But, you can be guaranteed that if we sign you, we will work our hardest to get you placed with the right booking agencies who believe in you just as much as we do!
WILL I HAVE TO DROP OUT OF SCHOOL?
We want all of our models to be well rounded and excellent examples for all, and we believe education is a big part of this. You will never be required to drop out or skip school. We will tailor your schedule to accommodate all of your current activities and obligations.
WHEN WILL I HEAR BACK?
Unfortunately, due to high demand we aren’t able to respond to every submission. However, if we feel we are the right agency for you, we will be in touch very soon!
I WAS APPROACHED BY A SCOUT ON THE STREET OR SOCIAL MEDIA, HOW DO I KNOW IF THEY ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE BRICK?
